The madness all began back in 1994 in Los Angeles. The band recorded a demo and set out to fill their name. Coal Chamber, something very well known today. However Coal Chamber weren't always as popular as they are today. They had to work to get their name on every street, and on every corner in LA. After a short period of time the band was playing sellout shows at large venues across LA.
In 1995, Dino Cazares of Fear Factory was talking to Producer of Road Runner Records, Ross Robinson. Dino mentioned Coal Chamber, and left a demo tape for the producer to listen to. He was intrigued by "loco" the first song on the demo. Coal Chamber were offered a deal immediately. Their popularity grew day by day. In 1997, they released their first album Coal Chamber. The album contained the hard guitar riffs, dry lung vocals, and a strong beat. The album was a hit, and it went platinum in September of 1997.
The band's prolonged second album Chamber Music had the release date set back numerous times before it was actually released. Fans all over the world awaited what Coal Chamber had in store on their second album. The second album, it was a different sound then what was on the first album.
Coal Chamber success is still growing, with two albums selling out in music stores across the country, what is it that Coal Chamber will have in store for awaiting fans? Is there something else that they have in store? We can only wait and see.
